Elder

Although born in Ft. Worth, I spent most of my life growing up here in Garland, TX. I was raised in a Christian household with my two brothers, and I was baptized at fifteen at a church just a little further down Jupiter Rd. I’ll also share that I was sixteen working at Albertsons across the street from this church. With “Courtesy Clerk” as my job title, I gained life essential skills in bagging and loading groceries. Joking aside, it was only a matter of time I would find myself here at Buckingham Road.

I met my wife Brandy at Abilene Christian University, and we have been married 24 years and counting. Many of you know our two kids (or rather I should say young adult and teenager), Madeline and Jack. Madeline is about to finish her freshman year at the University of North Texas, and Jack his junior year at Wylie High. Our dog, Ellie, doesn’t know a stranger, she just loves people. In fact, she makes a terrible guard dog.

We currently reside in Sachse, where I work from home as a Senior Finance Manager for Raytheon, a global defense company. Brandy is a preschool teacher and truly loves working with young children. Whenever we do get time to ourselves, we enjoy antiquing in hopes to discover new markets and treasures. More personal interests for me include camping and being outdoors, strength training, and riding my motorcycle with friends.

It was six years ago when we placed membership at BRCC. It may not sound that long ago, but seeing how little our kids were shows how much we’ve all grown. My family and I have been actively involved, and blessed, since day one. I sincerely look forward to serving as an elder to this loving church family.
